Biblical Archaeology
Some claim that Biblical Archaeology proves the Bible is correct.
I think this claim is invalid. It is possible to prove that the historical setting of the ancient near east makes it possible that Solomon was as powerful as the Bible says he was; however it does not prove that Solomon received great wisdom from God. It is possible to prove that there was a census when Jesus was born; however, this does not prove that he was God. It is not possible for archaeology to prove the atonement. Therefore it is not possible for archaeology to prove that the Bible is true.
While archaeology can prove the historical truth of the Bible, it cannot prove the theological truth of the Bible. It cannot prove that Moses received the Ten Commandments straight from God but it can prove that there were Israelites in
