We DO NOT recommend using the mail
to send us Cash or your credit card number. We will not be held accountable for
lost cash or credit card information.
We highly recommend using PayPal
for your credit card payments. It is safe, secure, and you'll get delivery of
your downloadable purchases as soon as they transmit us the details. It
can take up to four days BUT 99% of the time, it is a matter of minutes.
2. Why doesn't -x- install?
Do you have the
Net Framework installed? If not, it must be installed for our newest
products.
If you do, please send us a
comment using the Contact us page. This could be a
bug that we need to fix.

Button Creator but don't accept E-Gold, can't I pay with my E-Gold account?

More Payment Options linked under the PayPal buttons on each product page
4. Can I move Comic Book
Millennium to a new computer?
Yes.For Versions
prior to 5 Just install it on your new computer. Register the
new version with the code that you received with your order. You can look that
up here Copy comics.mdx, comics.dbf, want.dbf and
want.mdx to your new computer's directory where comic book millennium is
installed.
Comic Book Millennium 5 you just
install the program on the new computer and register it. Then just load your
*.cbmV file.
5. Why didn't I receive my
registration code yet?
You may have paid via e-check with
PayPal. PayPal does not consider the transaction completed until 4-9 business
days have passed when you pay via e-check. When PayPal notifies us that your
payment has cleared, you will receive the code automatically. If you have not
paid via e-check and it has been more than 4 days, then please contact us using
our contact form on the Contact us page.
6. Do your products contain
any spyware or adware?
No. We include no spyware or
adware in our products and we will not in the future regardless of how much we
are offered by third parties to do so. We are very opposed to either spyware or
adware. We hate them when they end up on our computers so why would we inflict
it on our customers.
7. I received an unsolicited
email from Beaver Valley Software, why?
Amazingly our public
email address received an email from a beavervalleysoftware email account
that is not actually on our system. If you received anything from us that is
not concerning a product that you purchased, it is more than likely from a
third party who has set up Outlook to make it look like they are sending it
from a Beaver Valley Software email address. We do not send unsolicited email
except for press releases to public email addresses of computer publications
and websites that we collected manually.
We do send emails to our customers
announcing new product versions of products that they bought and if
they are eligible for a free upgrade. And we may in the future hire an opt in
mail list provider as long as the list is truly opt in.
8. Can I redistribute -x-?
As long as it is the shareware
version without the registration code, you can redistribute our products as
long as you follow these directions. YOU MUST REDISTRIBUTE the products
unchanged including the installer that we created and with nothing added to it.
It must be exactly how we released it. If it is not, you may not redistribute.
9. How did you do -x-?
Sorry but our coding is closed
source.
10. Why is your software
closed source?
We'd like to eat. And programmers
should not have to work at another job to live. Programmers should be paid for
their work.
11. I don't use PayPal or I
won't provide my information to PayPal. Can I use some other means to pay
online?
Please check the More Payment
Options link that is on every product page under the PayPal buttons. You will
see E-Gold and on some products Regnow.
12. What is a legacy product?
A product we no longer offer on
our site or a product that we inherited that we feel is not of high enough
quality for the Beaver Valley Software brand.
13. Does your products use any
open source tools?
With the exception of our
installer, Inno Setup,
we do not use any open source tools.
14. Why doesn't Regnow appear
normally as a payment option on your product page?
Because Regnow charges 20% to
process the order while PayPal charges us 2.9% + .30.
15. What is the Net Framework?
It is Microsoft's newest tool for
developing modern applications. Its similar to the move from DOS to Windows in
the mid 90s. If you don't have the Net Framework than it would be the
equivalent to you continuing to run DOS applications. The Net Framework is FREE
and will be included in the next version of Windows. If you're running Windows
98 or later you can install the Framework..
16. When I click ok on your
registration dialog, the program tries to access the internet, why?
Slowly we are changing our
licensing system to an activation system. If you don't allow the program to
access the internet, you program will not be registered. This is one of our
attempts to combat illegal use of our software by those that have no morals at
all.
17. I received a registration
key from Regnow but it doesn't unlock the program. What's going on?
Their server hasn't talked to our
server yet to add your order to our database and to make your key active. Thus
as far as our server is concerned, your valid key is nothing more then an
attempt to activate the software for free. Please give Regnow some time to
contact our server.
If you are experiencing this
problem with PayPal or E-Gold, let us know immediately. Once you recieve your
code after paying with them, that means your order is completed and in our
database. So your software should be activated.
Remember that PayPal orders can
take up to four days to clear. Your code will not be active until then. But you
also should not have received a code until your order has cleared.
