3:10 to Yuma

This is the best western since The Outlaw Josey Wales which happens to be one of my favorite movies. Russell Crowe and Christian Bale did a masterful job and anyone that likes westerns or a good story should check it out. I typically don't care for remakes but I liked how it deviated from the story of the original movie and made its own story. The additions were perfect.

Best movie I've seen in years.

(Warning: I love westerns)

Update: Also warning of Violence and Strong Language. So no kids.

X-Files Movie to start filming December 10

Link

On Wednesday, Fox announced production will start December 10 on the sequel, which reunites the show's stars, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The studio also picked July 25 as the U.S. release date.

Series creator Chris Carter will direct the still-untitled film. Carter also co-wrote the screenplay with "X-Files" veteran Frank Spotnitz. The duo also are producing. Shooting will take place in Vancouver.
It is about time. I didn't think a sequel was ever going to be made with there being rumors about one just about every year since the series went off the air.

CGI images in movies

It kind a helps in these movies with CGI if they remember to draw the evil monster in scenes where they're swiping at it with knives and swords. Eh?

And actors that actually know how to act would be good too. Especially when they try to go into the big holier than thou speech. Its takes a real actor to come across genuinely. Otherwise you get some of the hammiest scenes that weren't supposed to be.

Thundercats movie

Just read here that Warner Brothers is making a Thundercats movie. Thundercats was a popular show back in the early 80s about the same time as He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. I'm pretty surprised that a movie is being made for them since I barely even remember the television show.

I remember LionO had a sword and I think it showed a signal in the sky when help was needed like the Bat Signal from Batman. And their arch-nemesis sometimes looked like a mummy and other times he changed shape. He was a sorcerous if I remember correctly.

Ok maybe its staring to come back to me now.
