Scientists find large 8 foot bug fossil

Scientists have found a bug larger than most cars from 390 million years ago. This discovery shows that scientists were incorrect with how large insects where hundreds of millions years ago. They believe these scorpions dominated the world for years until fish came onto the scene that could eat them.

The competition between this scorpion and its prey was probably like a nuclear standoff, an effort to have the biggest weapon," he said. "Hundreds of millions of years ago, these sea scorpions had the upper hand over vertebrates."

That competition ended long ago.
