Kitten Massacre
I live in an area where people decide to throw out unwanted cats because there's three farms within a mile of me so I put food out for them and the ones that choose my place keep the rodent population down. This morning I had 9 kittens when it was feeding time at 7:30. A half hour later, five were dead from some type of attack. No idea what it was but it occured without making a sound that was heard in the house.
My dad thinks it was probably a dog or coyote.

Do you have Chickens?
No. Just cats and fish. I don't live on a farm. I just live next to them. One neighbor (not a farm) has ducks and chickens, and another animal that I'm not entirely sure what it is. She's a vet so she has a lot of animals.
Another neighbor has three horses that prefer the woods on a hot day.
One of the farms used to have just about everything: pigs, chickens, cows, and goats. They may have even had sheep. I think they only have cows now.
Of course there's cats a plenty.
This may sound insane and crazy but I swear it actually happened. When I was growing up we had chickens and we had the same thing happen. A bunch of kittens were found dead, scattered across the yard. Turns out our free range Rooster got a little zealous in protecting his free range hens.
I've never had the neighbors chickens come into our yard to my knowledge. I wonder if a rooster came over finally.
