CBS's Moonlight gets retooled
Funny. The only show that even sounded remotely interesting on the CBS new show schedule has been destroyed. Any time executives say something like this:
Joel Silver, executive producer of CBS' upcoming vampire detective series Moonlight, told SCI FI Wire that he helped retool the original presentation to make the show more contemporary and hip.
"When we saw the show, we realized we wanted to make it younger and cooler and hipper,"
just says doomed series. We're going to make it hip means we're going to make it really stupid because that's what we executives think is required for hip.
Thus this show might as well never even air. It doomed to an early cancellation as the vast majority of people decide "this is not hip".
And then there's some quotes that make you wonder, "do cbs executives spend their days coming up with new ways to destroy their brains?"
"It really was just a presentation, It wasn't really a show yet. And we had to create the show, and now we have, and it's pretty, pretty strong. ... There was a script, but it was never approved as a pilot. They wanted a presentation. So it was a smaller project. And now that it's completed, and now that we've got a script, it's very different than what we started with
What kind of presentation that was good enough to originally knock Jericho off the scheule? So they never even saw if the show worked?
Its sort a like Macey's deciding that people are so stupid they need to make all their employees wear black. Otherwise they just won't know that the people with NAMETAGS on them are employees. Assume people are stupid and give them "hip" or brainless stupidity.
