I was thinking about this last night. If a jury can't agree on a verdict, shouldn't it be seen as reasonable doubt? It just seems like there shouldn't be another trial since the trial occurred and there's people on the jury that disagree that the case was proven. So it seems like it should be not guilty and no more money used for another case.

I have a Masters degree in History from Slippery Rock University and was awarded the Robert D Duncan award in 2002. It is awarded to the student for outstanding academic work when there's a student felt worthy of it. I earned BAs in Biblical Studies and History from Geneva College in 1999 where I was a TA for the Bible Department for three years. I led discussion groups every Friday and did the grading. I am currently attending Pittsburgh Theological Seminary in their Masters of Theological Studies degree. My ultimate goal is to earn a PhD in Old Testament Studies and teach at the college, university, or seminary level. I recently wrapped up a class I was teaching at my church on Ancient Egypt and the Old Testament upto the Exodus.
