Administration Rebukes Putin on His Policies

"A top Russia expert at the State Department issued an unusually sharp public criticism on Thursday of Moscow’s behavior under President Vladimir V. Putin, describing the Kremlin as bullying its neighbors while silencing political opponents and suppressing individual rights at home."

And so proclaiming that a Democrat will be weak on terror, and sending protesters twenty blocks away into a protest zone, and listening in on calls isn't silencing opponents and suppressing individual rights? Pot meet kettle.

Oh the hypocracy is amazing sometimes.

All this because Putin has decided to follow the same policies that led to the downfall of the Soviet Union and have an arms race with the United States. I believe one of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again in the same way and expecting a different result despite getting the same.

After he's done bankrupting his country, maybe the people will throw him out and get a real leader next time. I can't believe after all the work Yeltsin did Russia is going back to the Soviet ways.
